Inspiring a Cultural Change to Transform Human Health
Imagine a World Without the Diseases of Aging
The science to prevent, reverse, and cure cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and diabetes is within our grasp. Together, we can replace years of decline with years of vitality.
What is ALSAE?
ALSAE — the Alliance for Longevity Science, Arts & Entertainment, pronounced “all say” — is the first organization dedicated to connecting the longevity science field with the arts and entertainment industries: building the cultural infrastructure that longevity science has never had.
Our mission: to unite longevity science and the arts to inspire a cultural change that accelerates progress in curing age-related diseases—ensuring everyone can live healthier, longer lives.
The science of healthy longevity is advancing at a remarkable pace. What lags behind is public understanding, emotional investment, and cultural momentum. ALSAE closes that gap — by bringing the world’s most compelling artists, storytellers, and cultural figures behind the scenes of longevity science, into research labs and intimate gatherings with the scientists working to cure Alzheimer’s, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and the other diseases of aging.
The creators who join us don’t simply learn about the science. They discover firsthand that the progress is real, that the possibilities are within reach — and that an entirely new world of stories worth telling has been waiting for them. What they discover, they bring to the world.
Scientists, artists, innovators, and cultural leaders — united by a conviction that the diseases of aging can be defeated.
Longevity Science
For all of human history, people have aged the way their ancestors did — bodies gradually declining, diseases arriving, independence slowly surrendered. That assumption has defined every generation before us.
It is no longer correct.
Longevity Science is a multidisciplinary field grounded in geroscience — the study of the biological mechanisms of aging itself. Rather than treating diseases one by one after they develop, it targets the shared biological processes that make us vulnerable to all of them. Alzheimer’s, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes: these are not separate misfortunes. They are different expressions of the same underlying biology — and geroscience is now learning to target that biology directly: to prevent the diseases it causes, slow their progression, reverse damage once considered permanent, and ultimately pursue cures that were simply beyond the reach of medicine until now.
A new generation of technologies — cellular reprogramming, senolytics, gene therapy, stem cell biology, AI-driven drug discovery — has opened a door that did not exist before. These are not incremental improvements on old approaches. They are a fundamentally different kind of science, and the science is advancing faster than most people know.
ALSAE’s alliance includes leading scientists from pioneering research institutions around the world — bringing their work into direct conversation with the creative community.
Creative Arts
The Creative Arts have always been how humanity processes what is possible before it becomes real. Every major shift in public health consciousness — from the AIDS crisis to cancer research to mental health awareness — was preceded and accelerated by a moment when artists, storytellers, and cultural figures made it impossible to look away.
That moment has not yet arrived for longevity science. The science is advancing. The culture has not caught up. ALSAE’s work is to close that gap — by creating the conditions under which leading artists and storytellers encounter the science firsthand, and have the opportunity to bring it to the world in their own voice.
When a filmmaker or musician encounters this science firsthand, something shifts — they discover a world of possibility they didn’t know existed. What they imagine next, what stories they feel compelled to tell, what they want their work to say — that belongs entirely to them. And to everyone who will experience it.
FLAGSHIP PROJECT · IN DEVELOPMENT
The Hallmarks of Aging Installation
ALSAE’s flagship project brings the biology of aging to life as a large-scale public experience — twelve sculptural forms with animated projection mapping, built around the landmark scientific framework that defines the field. Designed to tour major cultural institutions and reach audiences in the millions.
Founding partnerships are available for organizations and individuals who want a permanent place in what gets built.
Join the Alliance
ALSAE is building an alliance of scientists, artists, and partners who understand that the cultural momentum behind longevity science matters — and who want to help create it. If that describes you or your organization, we’d welcome the conversation.
